What we collect

Names, contact details, and academic records of students enrolled at maktabs that use the platform; teachers' staff details; parents' contact details; payment metadata (no card numbers — those go directly to our payment processor).

Where we host it

Within the UK / EU on Cloudflare and Neon. Backups encrypted at rest. We never sell or train AI models on your data.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data. Email hello@themaktabapp.com.

Children

The Maktab is for use by maktabs to record children's progress. We process this data on behalf of the maktab (the data controller); we are the processor. Parents should direct rights requests to their maktab in the first instance.
